This £1 million refurbishment project was a challenging scheme as part of an insurance claim to re-build a complete mid-terrace industrial unit within a terrace of 10 units at Eldon Way Industrial Estate.
The works involved the complete demolition of unit 15 and then reconstruction with new primary and secondary steel structure, extensive repairs to the warehouse slab, temporary works to support adjacent properties during the works, replacement of the terrace roofing and gutters and then complete refurbishment of the new unit and adjacent units.
Works extended to complete new mechanical and electrical services, construction of new amenity and toilet blocks, decoration, resin flooring to the warehouses and general floor finishes and fitments. All external cladding was treated and sprayed on completion to offer a smart terrace of industrial units.
This project was completed in 20 weeks and whilst 7 of the units remained in full operation.
