Pexhurst have been working with sustainability certification partners Planet Mark since 2022 to begin to measure, report and reduce the carbon emissions of our operations, starting with those of our head office. We are now expanding the scope of our carbon emission reporting to look at our complete companywide Scope 1 and 2 emissions. We have a complete dataset for the 2023 year and are in the process of developing a sustainability report. We expect to set an ambitious net zero target for these this year and have employed an external sustainability and carbon specialist to work alongside our in-house Sustainability Coordinator, Luca Sidoli to help us achieve this. Working together, we will create and implement a clear strategy to continue to reduce our emissions year on year and achieve our net zero target. As part of this programme, we rolled out carbon impact and environmental awareness training, which 100% of our staff have now completed.
We understand the significance and size of our Scope 3 emissions and will start to look seriously at these in the near future. We plan on setting an equally ambitious target for these value chain emissions as we look to play our role in tackling the climate emergency as well as helping the construction industry reduce its significant carbon footprint.
