Congratulations to Buyer Giuseppe Lo Bue for his long-term commitment to the company, and for joining The Pexhurst 10 Year Club mural! To mark this impressive milestone, we caught up with Giuseppe to find out more about his time with us…
1. What made you apply for your job with Pexhurst?
I have always wanted to work in the construction industry, so when I heard that Pexhurst had a vacancy, I thought why not go for it!
2. Do you remember your first day?
Yes I do – I remember turning up early that day, a bit nervous too, but I was put at ease straight away after meeting the team who were very welcoming.
3. What one piece of advice would you give yourself on that first day?
My one piece of advice would be to always ask for help if you’re unsure. It’s better to ask and know what you’re meant to be doing, than to suffer in silence and waste time. At Pexhurst, we are very fortunate to be in an environment where everyone is more than willing to help.
4. How has your job changed over the years?
Over the past 10 years, workload has increased which is good as it keeps you busy! When I joined the company, the biggest project we completed was worth around £1million. Last year we completed a project in Bristol for around £10million!
5. What’s your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is that I’m always learning new things, no matter how long you’ve been in this industry – no two days are the same. Every day has its own challenges which keeps the job interesting.
6. What’s your favourite memory from the past 10 years?
It has to be our yearly team away-days to Newmarket Races. They are always a great day out… especially when you win!
7. What are you looking forward to next?
I’m looking forward to helping Pexhurst grow and progress even further than where we have been in the last 10 years.
