Pexhurst has commenced work in South London for the Workspace Group PLC. The Biscuit Factory is part of Tower Bridge Business Complex and consists of a collection of buildings. The project, with a value of over £1 million, involves internal refurbishment and repair works to the common parts, the 2nd floor in one of the blocks as well as the interesting ‘Mint’ building, which forms part of the former factory building.
The project will go on for approximately 20 weeks and involves work on the floor, provision of new toilet facilities, re-configuration of the ground floor to create a new main entrance with a ‘glazed entrance box’, redecoration and M&E services.
External repair and refurbishment works include concrete repairs and window repairs to all elevations and roof areas, along with other associated works. Also to be included is the installation of new Reglit structural glazing to the front and rear elevations exposing existing arched beams to create a ‘wow factor’ for potential tenants.
