We are proud to announce that Jake Palmer, our dedicated Assistant Site Manager, has secured the prestigious silver award in the Apprentice of the Year category at the National Building and Construction Awards 2023. This remarkable achievement highlights Jake’s exceptional commitment to professional development and his outstanding contributions to the construction industry.
Jake’s journey with Pexhurst began in 2022 when he joined us through our bespoke apprenticeship scheme. Starting as a labourer on site, Jake’s impressive work ethic and passion for construction quickly caught our attention. Recognising his potential, we offered him an interview for the apprenticeship route, and since then he has gone on to achieve a Distinction in his Level Three Team Leader/Supervisor (Built Environment) Apprenticeship Programme.
Throughout his time at Pexhurst, Jake has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to excellence. His proactive approach, confident communication style, and keen interest in learning have set him apart. Jake played a pivotal role in multiple successful projects, overcoming challenges such as restricted site access and last-minute work instructions. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he has already received two Pexhurst Site Proud Awards within three months.
Martin Vella, Managing Director at Pexhurst, expressed his pride in Jake’s achievements: “From the moment Jake joined, he has been actively engaged in learning and working to achieve the best results. We’re extremely proud that he has been recognised with this award and are spurring him on for continued success.”
