With 2024 now in full swing, and Pexhurst growing from strength to strength, we take a moment to share how grateful we are to our greatest asset, the Pexhurst team!
At the end of 2023, we celebrated the second year of our annual awards that run in conjunction with our bi-monthly ‘Above and Beyond’ and new ‘Project Excellence’ awards. These awards emphasise our appreciation and celebrate our hard-working team.

Employee of the Year 2023, as voted by the Pexhurst Team –
Maria Demetriou, Management Systems Administrator
For embodying the Pexhurst pillar, ‘Dependable’. Maria has been a consistent safe pair of hands in a variety of roles since joining Pexhurst, managing the constantly evolving world of ISO and accreditations for the past 20 years. She is always happy to help other departments despite her own commitments and is a real asset to the Pexhurst team.
Rising Star 2023 –
Charlotte Harris, Buyer
For embodying the Pexhurst pillar, ‘Progressive’. Charlotte’s growth over the past year has been exceptional. She shows a desire to broaden her skill-set and has fully embraced an active role within the Junior Board. Charlotte thrives from opportunities to develop and therefore is the perfect choice to be recognised for the Rising Star award.
Special Recognition Award 2023 –
Daniel Flint, Site Project Manager
For embodying the Pexhurst pillar, ‘Approachable’. Daniel is continually recognised by clients and the professional team alike as being a real asset to the delivery team, often being requested specifically to be Site Manager on clients’ projects due to his ability to run projects with the utmost professionalism. Daniel started his journey with Pexhurst 20 years ago as a labourer and has worked hard to further his career and become not only a great Site Project Manager, but also a fantastic mentor for other team members starting their journeys with Pexhurst.
Managing Director Martin Vella summarises, ‘Congratulations to Maria, Charlotte and Daniel for this achievement. It is always important to recognise the hard-work and focus on what our most important assets bring into the business, and it is great to be able to present these awards.
