This project was a CAT A commercial retail unit refurbishment returning the property to the original base build specification. The contract was carried out for TH Real Estate to allow the unit to be let to Iceland.
The project also allowed for the new tenant (Iceland) to commence their works from an original base build standpoint and fit out to their own individual branding requirements.
The project comprised the grinding and preparation of the existing concrete floor slab and removal of all services. A tenant specific requirement was the erection of a large jumbo stud dividing wall between the new tenant’s sales and back of house areas.
New drainage and services, along with extensive roof and cladding repairs, also formed part of our works. Part of the work scope involved the installation of a complete new water main connected to the main connection manifold, which was around 250m away.
To avoid programme disruption a high-pressure molling equipment system was used though the soft, tarmac and concrete landscaped areas.
Despite the additional works, the project was completed both on time and on budget, also allowing the tenant access on the scheduled date to commence retail fit out works.
