Retail industrial refurbishment for Landlord, in anticipation of new incoming tenants.

The project at Cannon Lane in Tonbridge involved a considerable level of structural works, which included extensive piling and ground penetrating radar surveys. The construction of reinforced concrete internal slabs and extension, also formed part of the work scope.

The drainage system was replaced completely in parts, along with adaptions and extensions to the existing surface water drainage. The installation of new internal condense drainage was also needed, to accommodate the banks of the new incoming tenant’s (Aldi) freezers.

The entire envelope of this 50,000 square foot building was over clad in new high-performance built-up cladding and roofing systems with extensive replacement support purlins where the existing structure proved to be unstable.

Bespoke new rainwater gutters and their associated aluminium cladding structures were installed to three of the four sides of the finished building to enhance the aesthetic of the visible elevations.

New galvanised structural steel signage supports belies the extensive frame adaption carried out internally to allow the existing portals to transfer the new loads to the mass pad foundations.

The new car park involved a total re-surface, together with new lighting and lining works.

A new 800KVA electrical substation with the attendant incoming and distribution supplies was installed to ensure
that all of the tenant’s requirements will be more than adequately met.

Following our works, the incoming tenants appointed contractors came in and commenced their internal fit out works.
