Made up of nine buildings, each with its own reception, the development is home to a diverse mix of occupiers. Pexhurst is close to completing the refurbishment of many of the office floors at the eleven-storey Harbour Exchange, which was originally built in the 1980's.
Harbour Exchange is an impressive glassclad building providing efficient, light filled floors which are wrapped around an off-set central core. The accommodation affords stunning views towards the 02 at Greenwich Peninsula and the iconic towers of Canary Wharf in the opposite direction.
In a demanding 32-week programme, Pexhurst has upgraded offices, toilets and common areas of floors 6 through to 10, stripping out the tenant fit-outs and refurbishing to Category A. The contract also includes a high-class revamp of the ground floor reception area and the common areas and toilet facilities from the ground floor up to floor 10. The £2.7 million contract has seen refurbished office floors subdivided to create smaller floorplates more suited to today’s tenants and the installation of new air conditioning, energy efficient lighting, raised access floors and metal ceiling tiles throughout the offices.
Common areas have been given a strong, modern feel with white, high gloss cladding panels attached to the walls, full height doors with fumed pear wood veneers, ceramic tiled floors in the lift lobbies and signature circular LED light fittings, 1m in diameter, sitting flush in the ceiling. The stunning reception area boasts a solid Corian desk with a glass wall detail above the desk, and also comes with ceramic tiling on the floor. Hanging pendant lighting in the reception area complements the flush ceiling fittings. The high-spec toilet areas have the same smoked pear veneers on full-height doors in the cubicles and Corian basins.
Pexhurst has once again delivered a stunning refurbishment – the client has already reaped the benefits, with soaring occupancy rates thanks to the fresh, modern facilities.
