Located off Oxford Street in London’s West End, this four-storey Grade II listed Georgian town house was to be restored to lettable condition after 15 years’ occupation.
Our project for CES Properties included refurbishing all the house’s original features, including the staircase and cornices. During the work, our team discovered an existing egg-and dart cornice that had been entirely concealed by layers of paint and carefully restored it to its original condition.
A significant challenge was that there were no service voids in the original Georgian structure, which meant that bringing new services into this listed building was a particularly complex and demanding exercise.
This project delivered a high-quality result for our client, a prestigious refurbishment using top-quality finishes, upgrading the building for modern occupation while respecting its protected historical heritage.
