This year site manager, Mark Loveday celebrates 15 years with Pexhurst! To mark this impressive milestone, we caught up with Mark to hear more about his time with us.
How did you come to work at Pexhurst?
I used to work for a refurbishment company called Afton Hill fitting out the Civil Aviation Authorities and national air traffic services offices in Holborn where I met Malcolm and Ronnie who fitted carpets for Afton Hill and Pexhurst. So, when I left Afton Hill, Malcolm introduced me to Pexhurst.
Do you remember your first day and if so, can you describe it?
My first day with Pexhurst was at Polar Park Heathrow on an Industrial Unit job and I was fitting a timber roof onto a newly built toilet block working under Mr Alan Bridge!
What is your favourite thing about coming to work every day and what makes Pexhurst such a great place to work?
I think my 15-year service has been possible because it’s great to work for such outgoing and understanding Directors and Contracts Managers who know their jobs inside out.
What has been your proudest work achievement?
My proudest achievement has been becoming a site manager with all the training to hand.
What is your fondest work memory?
My fondest work memory has to be working on and completing a top-quality office fit-out for the NHS in Harrow. I enjoyed working on this job as it was a CAT B so it felt more involved, especially as it was a turn-key project rather than the regular warehouse refurbishment.
What are you looking forward to next?
My Rolex for my 20-year Service Anniversary at Pexhurst!
